Safety inspections are required annually by DOT Commercial Truck Inspection FMCSA 49 CFR 396-17 laws and regulations!
Due to similarity to regulatory safety standards in the US and Mexico, these are validated in both countries.
They mainly focus on the safety of the brake system components and in general the mechanical and physical conditions of mandatory commercial trucks, in addition to another full quarterly level 1 inspection throughout the year CVSA sticker.

Drug and alcohol testing is mandatory.
